AUDIO VISUAL COMMITTEE

Is responsible for the proper care and use of all church-owned broadcasting equipment and the sanctuary public address system.

BAPTIST TRAINING UNION

Meets each Sunday at 5:00 p.m., except on fourth Sundays when we have a merged service with a question and answer time. This is the training department for the whole church. Groups are classified according to age levels. Relevant topics are informally discussed each Sunday. Groups are small, giving opportunity for more individual participation.

BETHESDA FELLOWSHIP CHOIR

Sings second Sunday morning (every other month) at 10:30 a.m. Rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. as needed. Adults ages 20 and above.

BUS MINISTRY/COORDINATOR OF CHAPERONES
To serve as chaperones on vans on certain assigned days to keep order and engage in building ridership for the route.

EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH MINISTRY
Meets first Monday of each month. Seeks to extend the witness of Christ beyond the immediate membership of the Church. Works in this connection with Christian organizations which have been approved by the Pastor. Attempts to reclaim former members of the church who have, for one reason or another, become delinquent in attendance, participation, and finance.

FLOWER GUILD
Meets fourth Wednesday of the month. Responsible for decorating pulpit with flowers each week. President assigns each member certain weeks to be in charge of arranging flowers in the church. Provides flowers for funerals and other needs as directed by the church.

JUNIOR USHERS
Meets second Wednesday every other month. Create an atmosphere of genuine welcome and concern for all attending services. Greet people and provide each person with an order of worship. Check to make sure bulletins and other needed aids and supplies are in their proper place. Keep order and direct seating. Be attentive to the needs of persons during the services. Ages 13 through 19.

LIBRARY COMMITTEE
To work with the Librarian in selecting, cataloging, and keeping in good condition all books, periodicals, library and visual aid materials, and equipment. Must be ages 16 and above.

MALE CHORUS
Sings each fourth Sunday morning at the 10:30 a.m. service. Rehearses each Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Adult males ages 20 and above.

MEN'S MINISTRY
Engages in a diversified program for men, with a view to the spiritual growth and development of the individual believer and to the church. Meets monthly or at the call of the President. All men are automatically members of the Men's Ministry by virtue of their membership in the church.

MINISTRY OF COMFORT
Is a grief adjustment ministry that is biblically inspired to provide love, comfort, support, and guidance to church members who have suffered the loss of a loved one through death.

MISSIONARY MINISTRY
Meets third Saturday (every other month) and Saturday before fifth Sunday. Their responsibility is to keep the spirit of Missions (both home and foreign) alive in the Church. Present programs, pageants, special services, and Missionary personalities in the Church at special times. They also furnish delegates to our Foreign Mission Convention, short-term missionary trips, etc.

NURSES' UNIT/FIRST AID MINISTRY
All nurses who are members of the church are expected to render service through this unit. Special times for duty at regular worship services, etc. to be assigned by the President.

PASTOR'S AID MINISTRY
Meets first Saturday of each month. Helps remind the church of the Pastor's need at vacation time. Leads the church in remembering the Pastor at Christmas time. Seeks to be of assistance to the Pastor in every possible way.

RECREATION COMMITTEE
Responsible for organizing and facilitating recreational activities. Activities available: Softball, basketball, bowling, and aerobics.

SECURITY AND SAFETY COMMITTEE
The responsibility of covering a designated area to guard against vandalism, theft, and fire hazards while church is in meeting sessions and/or worship services. To serve when assigned by the Director.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Meets every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. There are classes available for all age levels. The Sunday School us an educational component for the whole church. If you have the gift of teaching, there is a position available for you in this organization. (See Superintendent after joining Sunday School)

Mature, qualified persons to drive the vans are assigned certain times and routes by the Chairperson of the Transportation Committee. Must have a clear driver's record as required by insurance company.

Engages in a diversified program for women, with a view to the spiritual growth and development of the individual believer and to the church. Meets on the fourth Saturday of every month for prayer meeting at 9:00 a.m. All women are automatically members of the Women's Ministry by virtue of their membership in the church.

WORSHIPPING NURSERY
Takes care of infants and tots, ages 1 month through 5 years, during the 10:30 a.m. worship service, Communion Sunday, and other worship services. Leads them in worship on their age level. Ages 13 and above.

Sings second Sunday mornings at the 10:30 a.m. service (alternating with the Bethesda Fellowship Choir). Rehearses each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Ages 12 through 19.
